42-50370 Oonie Doonie *

Obtained from the replacement depot. Due to the time frame, our theory is this plane was brought in as a replacement for 44-40065 SILVER LADY lost on 19 May 44.

* Used mostly by the Prytulak Crew 907 who had given up their original plane 42-110141 BREEZY LADY to the 458th for PROJECT AZON. The name OONIE DOONIE is unconfirmed. A photo of the Prytulak Crew's door plaque, which tallies their mission record, says OONIE DOONIE. The link to it can be found on the Prytulak Crew 907 page.

Although this plane was lent out a few times to other squadrons, it was always an 859th BS aircraft.

Lost: 7 Jul 44, w/Bocksberger Crew R-15, 2 KIA, 8 POW, MACR 7235.

Aircraft was replaced with 42-50719 SANS SOUCI obtained from the replacement depot.
