Flew on 1st Aug 43 Ploesti oil refinery raid, returning safely to Libya.
Sustained flak damage 9 Oct 43 mission to attack u-boat production in Danzig. On return flight one engine seized and was feathered, A/C began to lose height, diverted to Sweden. Successful belly landing was made at Rinkaby airfield, Sweden, crew set A/C alight and were interned.
