Medals: Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Distinguished Flying Cross, w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Medal w/3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Presidential Unit Citation, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle-East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army Occupational Medal, National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Service Star, Air Force Longevity Service Award w/7 Oak Leaf Clusters, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. Command Pilot with 5,000 flying hours, credited with destroying six enemy aircraft and damaging four. Last two assignments included Deputy Commandant of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Ft. McNair, Washington D.C., March 1972, then Commanding General- Armament Development and Test Center (ADTC), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, October 1972-August 1975.
