Donald W. Pitts, Col. USAF (ret), son of SSgt Clarence F. Pitts, formerly of the 707th Bombardment Squadron, USAAF 1941-1945. I'm going through my fathers records and wanted to follow a historical trail to find where he was based and what his unit accomplished during WW2. I learned today where his squadron was based and plan to visit the location in the future. I will post what materials I have from his personal affects and hope to meet with some of those who knew him or their family through this site.
