Spitznagel
I am the youngest of three children of Lt. Frank R. Spitznagel, Jr. 8th Air Force, 305th Bomb Group, 364th Squadron based in Chelveston, England. Lt. Spitznagel piloted B-17F #42-29633 during January–September, 1943 and with his crews completed 26 missions over Occupied Europe. He earned the Bronze Medal, Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross. He retired from the service in December of 1945 with the rank of Major.
