Gilbert Eagle Feather

Gilbert, a Lakota native of South Dakota, flew 10 missions with the 351st BG as a left waist gunner. He had excellent eyesight, and gained respect inflicting damage on enemy fighters. It's said that when airmen called him "Tonto," he would tell them, "That's MISTER Tonto to you."
