Jim Bourne trained on Course 27A at Falcon Field starting on 26 June 1945 and ending on 10 September 1945.
He came from a farming family and on his return from the RAF, he went back to the family farm. He married in 1947 and set up a new farm at Osgathorpe. He had 5 children, Ian, Margaret, Lesley, Helen and John.
