22 April 1944 | 2nd Lt Lester W. Hauck, co-pilot of the B-26 Marauder 42-95910 “Wizard of Koz”, took off from station 169 in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, UK on a bombing mission over Siracourt. They were shot down by flak at 1940. Hauck was taken prisoner and sent to Stalag Luft 3 in Sagan. |
