3-11-41 was one of 7 pilots selected to ferry Hurricane IIb's to Cardiff at 12:00hrs, bad weather intervened and he was forced to crash land Hurricane Z5081 at Oakhampton. Injured with 3 broken fingers.

Back to the US, stationed at Luke AFB, Glendale, Arizona, USA.



Left the Air Force 1st April 1947 and became a home builder. Before he died he had built over 5000 homes in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
