Evan "Mac" McCall was my grandfather. He was a wonderful man who, after being recalled to the air force during the Korean conflict, stayed in the USAF until the early 1970's, having made a career out of his service. He achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel before retiring. Grandpa passed away on Haloween in 2004 in his hometown of Moundridge Kansas.
