Mission No. 37 to the Focke-Wulf plant at Anklam, Germany. The aircraft left formation with No.1 engine smoking and was attacked by fighters, knocking out No.'s 2 and 3 engines. The aircraft exploded as it crashed into North Sea. Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 887.
