Hi Jinx went down in Wissoux, France, and there is a monument there since crew chose to crash in a field and avoid destroying the church; Lt. Reed was the pilot We got up 2 to 3 hrs before take-off time to pre-flight the airmplane etc. Armarment, ordinence, radio people also checked out the plane. sometimes had to top off the gas tanks after preflight if it was a long mission. Sweat theplane out for 5 to 8 hours, guide theplane back to its position on the hardstand. Greet the crew! Then work 2 or 3 hours to 24 or 36 hours for the next 'max effort mission - rain- slnow or shine - But it Was Exciting!14043830
