Scole, Norfolk, England 20 November 1944 THE MORNING OF 20 NOV 44 WAS HAZY WHEN THE WEATHER SHIP (A/C #43-380995) TOOK OFF AT 0557 HOURS. APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE LATER AT 400 FEET ALTITUDE THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A STEEP LEFT BANK, LOST ALTITUDE, HIT A TREE AND EXPLODED. THE CRASH RESULTED IN THE LOSS OF SIX LIVES INCLUDING CAPT CHARLES W. MYLIUS, JR WHO WAS FLYING AS COMMAND PILOT.
