Ross W Perrin Jr was a Bombardier in the 381st Bomb Group / 532nd Bomb Squadron. Killed In Action (KIA) in the loss of B-17G # 43-38780 on the Squadron’s 11 December 1944 mission to bomb the bridge over the Rhine at Mannheim, Germany. Bombardier Ross Perrin's nephew, J. Ross Greene has written a book about his uncle, the mission and the fate of the crew as well as his commitment to preserving their memory : "A Fortress and A Legacy" ( http://afortressandalegacy.com )
