OBITUARY: Marlin Greenawalt

Marlin "Pete" Greenawalt, 83, of Roanoke, Va., formerly of Emmaus, died June 24, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke. He was the husband of Lorraine (Kaufman) Greenawalt. They were married for 59 years in December.
He was a manager for Fuller Brush Co. in Lehigh and Northampton counties.
Born in Drehersville, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Charles D. and Beulah (Dreher) Greenawalt.
He was an Army Air Force veteran and a prisoner of war during World War II.
Survivors: Wife; brother, Charles of Drums, Luzerne County; daughters, Vicki Heinrich of West Chester, Chester County, Kay Handfest of Whitehall Township, Beverly Suhr of Roanoke, Debbie in California; six grandchildren.
Memorial services: Were held at Shenandoah Baptist Church, Roanoke. Arrangements, Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke.
Contributions: Toward trees to be planted at Shenandoah Baptist Church, or Roanoke Valley Christian Schools Scholarship Fund, c/o the church.
