Allentown, PA, USA 3 June 2003 Jay W. Ruch, 81, of Allentown, died June 3 in ManorCare Health Services, Salisbury Township. He was married to Jean P. (Miller) Ruch for 60 years last month. He was an inspector for GATX, Catasauqua, for 32 years before retiring in 1982. He was a projectionist in the Allentown area during the 1930s and 1940s. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William H. and Esther H. (Haag) Ruch. He was a Protestant. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of captain and serving as a fighter pilot. Surviving: Sons, Jay T. of Whitehall, Roger D. of West Chester, Chester County; a grandson.
