Died |
29 January 1944 | Charles Anderson one of the survivors reported: Sgt, Galloway thought he saw him slumped over in his seat just before we bailed out. I believe he was killed by first fighter attack because plane went out of control and headed into a flat dive. The first attack was from 12:00 and demolished the nose of the plane. It is my supposition that Lt. Holdren died gallantly at the controls of the ship. | |
