Handwritten caption on reverse: '2-11. A strange incident. Lt. Col. Edward J. Cook, US Army Engineers 9th Air Force visits an old buddy, Col Zemke, at Halsworth prior to D-Day. Cook a brilliant student, a close high school budy, went to West Point - Zemke later to Randolph (Flight School). Several years and much water under the dam found them in the thick of it in England. # Background officer is 1st Lieut. Tom Bowie, Special Sercive Officer 56th - This officer brought the Glenn Miller Band to Boxted. # Ask Tom if it was in England he'd produce!'
