P-51B 42-106703 PE-S 'Snoot's Sniper' of Lt. Francis W Horne, named by crew chief S/Sgt. Arthur C 'Snoot' Snyder. Snyder was the unit barber and the nickname should have been 'Snipper' to reflect his barbering skills but spelling was apparently not his strong suit. Starboard side view shows 'Snoot' Snyder's trademark barber pole insignia that he applied to all of his aircraft.
