IMAGEFinished with training, the Edwin L. Marks crew prepares to depart the US enroute to Hardwick UK. They flew a complete tour in mid 1944 including a trip on "D Day." Bill R. Story is kneeling on the left end of the front row but positive id of other crew members is unknown. At least one gunner was believed killed and several crew members changed from the time of this picture till they completed the tour. The Marks crew was mentioned in the 93rd Bomb Group book "Ted's Traveling Circus" as having been a deputy lead crew on at least one mission.
