Incediary bombs drop towards the dock area of Kobe, Japan's sixth largest city, as Marianas- based US. B-29 Superfortresses blast a ten-mile (16KM) area extending along Osaka Bay June 1945. Targets for the 500 huge US bombers' 300 tons of incendiaries included the Imperial Governement Railway shops, the heavily industrialized area of Kobe steel works, and thousands of small war factories on the enemy home island of Honshu.'
