Printed caption on reverse: '50034 AC- Vahremalder-Strasse, Hanover, German. THE FACTORY FRONT GETS IT: The thunderous RAF night raids, led to their targets by "pathfinders" hammered whole industrial areas in side Germany; by contrast, the Flying Fortresses, with their accurate bomb sights, picked out single facotires, wrecked their vitals. The complementary air offinsive of the British and American bombers has been described as "The rapier and the bludgeon". This target was rapiered- the great tyre factory at Hanover, the Vahremalder-Strasse plant gets the first of a tornado of bombs on July 26. US Air Force Photo.'
