The damaged nose of a B-25 Mitchell (serial number 43-27676) nicknamed "The Litte King" of the 310th Bomb Group, 12th Air Force. Handwritten caption on reverse: 'Windshield damage on B25J # 327676 (The Little King), 380th Bomb Sqd, 310 Bomb Gp, 1944. This was caused by a 20 pound frag bomb dropped by an aircraft just above it during a mission in cloudy and foggy weather. The bomb landed in the co-pilot's lap but did not explode. The aircraft was flown back to Ghisonaccia Corsica by Lt. Keen (NY). The bomb was evidently dropped close enough it did not have time to arm itself. Another bomb struck the edge of the propellor but did little damage as it was only a glancing blow. From F. Dean 12 April 1973.'
