IMAGEA B-25 Mitchell (serial number 43-27676) nicknamed "The Litte King" of the 310th Bomb Group, 12th Air Force covered in camouflage netting. Handwritten caption on reverse: 'The "Little King" covered with camouflage netting to keep down the reflection of the aluminium of the airplane. These were used right after the airplane began to arrive in combat without the camouflage painting. As the possibility of German bombers coming over decreased so did the use of these. We didn't like them as they were so heavy and had to drape over the plane. 380 Sqd. Ghisonaccia 1944.'
