A B-25 Mitchell (serial number 43-27676) nicknamed "The Litte King" of the 310th Bomb Group, 12th Air Force in flight. Handwritten caption on reverse: 'The "Little King" was flown in as a replacement aircraft while the 380th BS, 310th BG was stationed in Corsica. The a/c was named by the crew chief Sgt. Frank .B. Dean (Arkansas) for the first pilot Lt. H.C. King (Texas) assigned to the aircraft. The "Little King" finished the war in Fano Italy and was then flown to the States. At the time the picture was taken the a/c had flown 40 missions. The bombs painted under the Bombardiers window signified missions and were in groups of 5. Wide tail stripe yellow for 310th, lower tail stripe & prop spinners light blue for 380 Sqd.'
