A Stinson L-5B Sentinel (serial number 44-16902) at East Wretham, home of the 359th Fighter Group. ------------------------- L-5B 44-16902 was constructed during the 2nd week of October 1944. Crated and shipped from the New York Port of Embarkation, it arrived in the U.K. on 26 November and was assigned to the Ninth Air Force. It was diverted to Army Ground Forces, Europe in December 1945 and its ultimate fate is unknown. Associated caption: 'Aeronica Chief (L-6 or L-3) plane # 416902.'
