"Captain Leroy Byron Morgan and Miss Anna Marie Cumbie were married on March 11, 1945. The ceremony was held at the Lowry Field Chapel in Denver, Colorado. The couple is in Fort Worth, Texas, visiting Mrs. Morgan's father, Mr. Ernest F. Cumbie. Captain Morgan was previously stationed at Lowry Field but was transferred to the Fort Worth Army Air Field. He spent eight months overseas in Africa, earning three bronze battle stars, an Air Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC), Silver Star, and a Presidential Unit Citation badge. He is dressed in his military uniform. Mrs. Morgan is a graduate of North Texas State Teachers College (NTSTC). She has been employed for two years as an instructor in the Army Air Forces. She is wearing a blouse that ties at the collar, a blazer, and a pilot wings pin."
