IMAGEP-38J Lightning serial number 43-28341, coded CG-O of 38th Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group. Initially named "Peoria Pulverizer" by pilot Capt. Willard L Kreft after his Hometown of Peoria, IL, it was subsequently reassigned to the then Captain John D Landers who joined the squadron shortly before Kreft completed his Tour. Landers renamed it "Texas Longhorn" before the unit converted to P-51 Mustangs and he received the first of his "Big Beautiful Doll" named aircraft.
