Lts. (L to R) George S. Montgomery and John M. Nicklebur Jr. of the 351st FS/353FG with mascot "Rusty" 1945. The two trained together in Coleman, Greenville, and Eagle Pass, Texas. They joined the 351st on August 18, 1944 and flew first P-47's then transitioned into the P-51D. Both finished their tours in April 1945.
