William J. "Mickey" Maguire, flew P-47D "Boston Bull" and later P-51D "Lil Boston Bull". He was credited with 7 air kills and was a top squadron ace. Post war in August of 1945 Maguire along with Col. Ben Rimmerman were killed in a flying accident together.
