"P-47s of the 4th Fighter Group, Debden airdrome Debden, England just before their take-off on a sweep over a Dutch coast. May 1943." P-47C 41-6369 (coded WD-Y) assigned to 1st Lt Paul S "Rip" Riley of the 335th Ftr Sq, 4th FG joins the taxi line for another mission from Debden. The ship was lost on 24 February 1944; Lt Joseph L Sullivan was KIA (MACR 2921). Riley was officially credited with 6.5 confirmed aerial victories. NARA Ref 342-FH-3A06075-79068AC.
