'Formation of Boeing B-17's somewhere over England. 17 March 1943'. NARA Ref # 342-FH-3A05765-78936AC. Centre - B-17F 41-24484 "The Bad Egg" (coded LL-C) of the 401st Bomb Sqn, 91st BG. One of the group's original Fortresses, she flew more than 40 missions; damaged in a landing accident on 31 December 1943, she was repaired and continued her service assigned to the 390th BG. Centre Top - must be 42-5763 "Bomb Boogie" (91st BG 401st BS LL-F, assigned 9 march 43, lost on Stuttgart 6 Sept 43, crash in France).
