P-51 Mustang E9-H serial no. 44-14197 nicknamed 'Mary Jane II'. The plane belonging to Lt. Robert R. Volkman experienced engine failure while leading a section of eight Mustangs on 29th October 1944. Volkman crashed when landing at Newborough, near Peterborough. Museum object reference no. BAM_0387
