B-24D Liberator, 41-23722, Bomerang, (coded GO-C) of the 328th BS, the 93rd BG. It was the first 8th Air Force Liberator to complete 50 combat missions. It was a survivor of the large low level bombing mission to destroy the oil refinery complex at Ploesti, Romania. 1 Aug 43.
