Waddling Lane, Blundeston, Somerleyton, Suffolk On 14 November 1944, two US Navy Air Force pilots, based at Coltishall, were chasing down a V1 rocket in their Mosquito. Apparently, they were hit by friendly fire, although there is disagreement about this. Both pilots were killed. Lt.
