Ground officers of the 305th Bomb Group watch a formation of their Group's B-17 Flying Fortresses fly over the airfield when returning from a raid in late May 1943. Passed for publication 31 May 1943. Printed caption on reverse: 'Fortress Raid. At a Fortress station somewhere in England the big bombing groups go out for their day-light sweeps.
