Detailed History

B-17 Flying Fortress force landed on a farm near Tirstrup, Denmark on 20 February 1944. All 10 members of the crew landed safely and set the aircraft on fire, they were later taken Prisoner of War.

First handwritten caption on reverse: 'NA, 390 BG.' Second handwritten caption on reverse: '"Local natives gather around, slightly scared but still avid to acquire American cigarettes" 390 BG.'
