He was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Oroville, Calif., the son of David Elmer and Josephine (McCauley) Riley. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Riley was a Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. retiree. He enjoyed carpentry work, fishing and gardening. He was a member of Goodyear VFW Post 2187, the 466th Bomb Group Association, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 555, Masonic Lodge No. 51, the 8th Air Force Historical Society and the Goodyear Retirees. He married Lee Ora Scott on May 4, 1945, in Topeka. She survives. |
