Menuhin was an American-born violinist who spent the majority of his career performing the UK.



During the Second World War Menuhin performed for Allied service personnel and American Airmen, entertaining the 401st Bomb Group at Deenethorpin September 1944. He also performed for liberated prisoners of Bergen Belsen concentration camp on 27 July 1945.



Menuhin, received British citizenship in 1985.
