William Webb White

Military

Shot down on 31 Dec 1943. His plane, 'Piccadilly Commando,' #42-29630, ditched in the English Channel, rescued by German Navy. Prisoner of War (POW) in Stalag Luft I, Barth, Germany, until April 1945 when released by Russian Army. Retired as a Lt Col, USAF, in 1964. Flew in WW II (B-17), Korea (RB-29), and Vietnam (EB-66)
