MilitaryShot down 1 December 1943 in B-17 #42-39796. Plane ditched in North Sea. Returned to base. Damaged by flak on a mission to Oberpfaffenhofen, GR on 18 Mar 1944, B-17G #42-31871 headed toward Switzerland and crash landed at Dubendorf airfield. Interned.
