William Frederick Getz
MilitaryBorn in Kokomo in 1925 and joined the air force in 1943 after graduating from Kokomo High School.
Served in the 8th Air Force, 390th Bombardment, 570th Squadron as a B-17 tail gunner and was involved in 28 missions over Germany.
After the war he married Jane Ann Currens in 1947 and studied at Southwest Texas State Teachers Collage and Indiana University Kokomo.
Later retired from Delco electronis as a production engineer after 28 years of service.
He was a lifelong member of the 390th memorial museum
