Wendell C Sessions
Military"Iowans of the Mighty Eighth", Chapter 22 "Biographies", by Charles D Taylor.
He was a laboratory technician with General Electric before being call up in October 1942. Accepted into the Aviation Cadet Program he trained as a pilot, crewed up and joined the Group at Eye in January 1945. He flew 33 combat missions, on the second engine failure necessitated a forced landing - fortunately behind Allied lines. They were picked up by British forces and returned to England. He was afterwards Vice President of an agricultural products company.
