"Master Sergeant Fred Kuhn and Sergeant Warren T. Allon of the 303rd Bomb Group paints Bugs Bunny onto the nose of a B-17 Flying Fortress. Handwritten caption on reverse: '303[BG]." - Printed caption attached: 'The Fortress Circus. R/2214-11. A insignia adopted in the States. It is "Bugs Bunny" from a Walt Disney cartoon [sic]. Brightening up the gay paint-work is Master/Sgt. Fred Kuhn of Perryton, Texas, while giving a helping hand on top of machine is Sgt. Warren T. Allon of Denton, Montana. "Bugs Bunny" has been on 36 bombing trips - some of which are designated by the painted bomb markings.'
