Stafford, CT | 7 January 1998 | Victor J. ("Vic") Stachniewicz, 77, of 7 Concord Terrace, a 25-year veteran of the Air Force, died Wednesday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford. Born in Auburn, N.Y., he lived here for 30 years. He served in the Air Force during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired in 1967 with the rank of master sergeant. He worked later for ABB-CE of Windsor for several years, and retiring 15 years ago. He leaves his wife, Pat (Fryer) Stachniewicz; three daughters, Colline Gernert of Wallingford, Sharon Albert of Coventry, and Kerry Kulas, of Somers; two brothers, Leo and Julian Stack of Auburn; two sisters, Helen Turek of Asheville, N.C., and Frances Turek of Belleview, Fla.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday morning at Somers Funeral Home and All Saints Church in Somersville. The burial will be in Center Cemetery. |
