Shipped overseas to ETO, operational training at OTU Sutton Bridge, assigned to 121[Eagle] Sqn RAF, transferred USAAF November 1942.



Went on to fly B-17 Flying Fortresses. Flew Memphis Belle for 3 months whilst filming for William Wyler's film. B-17 instructor at Dyersberg, Tennessee.
