The pilot's name is shown as Lt. Thomas with Sgt. Rogers name just below. The pilot's full name is Lt. Robert F. Thomas. Not sure of the date, but probably late 1943, early 1944.

The picture is from St/Sergeant's wartime scrapbook. The scrapbook is now in the hands of his son. This son is a cousin of my wife.

Nov. 30, 2023 Added a shoulder patch patch in Staff Sgt. Rogers wartime scrapbook. Not sure if it was an official patch of the group or squadron he belonged to.

Nov. 30, 2023 Added Bronze Star to Staff Sgt. Rogers Awards. He was also awarded the ETO Campaign Ribbon with four battle stars but I do not see that as a selection item.
