Aircraft damaged by flak and landed in Spain on 25/6/44 in B-17 Batchelor's Bride 42-97292. 

 

Casualty Questionnaire attached to MACR6545 records aircraft as crash landing 8-10 miles to the north and west of Bilbao, Spain. All crew members stayed on board (no bail-outs) during the landing. Some minor injuries recorded. 1st Lt. Spencer records himself as having a broken nose. Crew recorded as being interned together.
