Here are pictures of Thunderbolts P-47s, the famous American fighter planes, which escort Flying Fortresses on their daylight missions over Occupied Europe. Photo shows:- L to R:- 1/Lt. Stanley G. Lt Markusen is public relations officer of a Thunderbolt P-47 fighter station "somewhere in England". Major Clapp heads Eighth Fighter Command’s public relations division, and Major Dufour has participated in over 100 missions to continental Europe.
