Bob flew with Gus Gaczi’s crew as pilotage navigator and nose turret gunner. Fellow crew member James T Pace (navigator) told us they were a Lead crew so carried two navigators. They flew 14 missions in the B-24 ‘Pin Up Girl’ and a further 13 missions in various other aircraft. Bob returned to Halesworth in December 1997
